Microsoft Announce End of Support for Office 365 Pro Plus on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2.
With all of the current noise surrounding the end of support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2, we thought now would be a good time to remind everyone that Microsoft also announced the end of support for Office 365 Pro Plus on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 back in October.
This has largely gone under the radar, however with many organization using Windows Server 2012 and Window Server 2012 R2 with Remote Desktop Services, also known as a Terminal Server, on their network, they are likely to be exposed to performance and reliability issues over time.
Microsoft’s recommendation is for customers still operating Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 is to migrate their workloads to Azure or upgrade their on premise servers to Windows Server 2019.
The official end of support date for Office 365 Pro Plus on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 is January 14th 2020.
